Ricerca: POLITICAL AND DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS BETWEEN ITALY AND THE INDEPENDENT STATE OF CROATIA
Danilo Kovač was born in Trebinje (Bosnia and Herzegovina). He graduated from the Jovan Dučić Grammar School in his hometown, as well as the High School for Ballet and Music in Podgorica (Montenegro). He undertook his undergraduate studies in the History Department of the University of Banja Luka, being recognized with the honour of the best student of the generation, before completing his master’s studies in Contemporary History at the same university. His thesis, which focused on the Independent State of Croatia, won the prestigious Slobodan S. Begović award for historical research, awarded at the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade. As a Chevening Scholar, he completed further master’s studies, in history teaching, at University College London (UK). He was the holder of French Government scholarships for study trips to the universities of Versailles and Sorbonne. Additionally, he has been the recipient of grants and scholarships from the Representation of Republika Srpska in Vienna and the American Academy in Rome. He has attended numerous international seminars in Paris, Peron, London, Rome, Trieste, Vienna, Berlin and Buchenwald. Today, Danilo Kovač is a senior assistant lecturer in the History Department of the University of Banja Luka and a PhD student in History of Europe at the Sapienza University of Rome.
