Research: Security Issues of Machine Learning in the Real World

Daniele Angioni is a PhD candidate of the Italian national PhD programme in Artificial Intelligence, working at the PRA Lab of the University of Cagliari, Italy. He received his BSc degree in Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering in 2019 with mark 107/110, discussing a thesis on fake fingerprint presentation attacks on mobile devices, which was awarded the second prize in the 15th edition of the Italian competition Premio Tesi Clusit "Innovare la sicurezza delle informazioni", in 2019. In 2021 he received his MSc degree in Electronic Engineering, with honors, discussing the thesis entitled "Robust Machine Learning for Malware Detection under Concept Drift", supervisioned by Dr. Battista Biggio.
His research interests are machine learning and adversarial machine learning, with applications in computer vision and cyber security.
