She has started studying the neurophysiology of human birth and the impact of adverse events on early neuropsychological development, for instance during first year of life and early childhood at the Unit of Pediatrics, Department of Neuroscience, Mental Health and Sensory Organs (NESMOS) c/o Sant'Andrea University Hospital.
She is studying with Professor Oliviero Bruni, Professor Pasquale Parisi and Professor Giovanni Di Nardo the sleep disorders, adverse events and functional diseases in children (cephalalgia, Studia i disturbi del sonno, gli eventi avversi ed i disturbi funzionali nel bambino (cefalea, irritable bowel, constipation) at the Unit of Childhood Neuropsychiatry at the Unit of Pediatrics, c/o Sant'Andrea University Hospital.

She is collaborating on the topic Pregnancy and Birth with Prof. Joanna E. Chambers, University of Indiana, USA.
She is working on a project concerning the newborn's neuronal plasticity, in collaboration with the University of Tor Vergata and the University of Siena.

She works as individual and group psychotherapist, according to the Human Birth Theory by Fagioli. She has worked in several Psychiatric Services of the Local Health Authority (Roma, Frosinone, Sora, Pontecorvo, Caserta, Aversa, Formia), in Italy.

She has studied the early gene expression modulation in CNS after drugs administration in experimental model. She has worked in a laboratory of molecular pathology on the modification of the insulin receptor genes, at the University of Naples “Federico II”, Naples, Italy.
