• Expert in metallurgical defects and Non Destructive Testings, gives lectures on Metallurgical Methodologies covering all major NDT methods.

• Carried out a research work aimed at studying a process for recovering valuable metals from waste electric and electronic equipments.
• Developed a mathematical model as a design tool to predict the effect of process parameters on process yield.

Safety Engineer (2000-2001)
• Worked as liaison with local authorities for setting up and organising Regional Agencies for Environmental Protection in some southern Italian regions.
• Carried out inspections of metallurgical plants covered by the Seveso II Directive, after attending a course on Risk Assessment and Management.

h. Matematical modelling of electrometallurgical processes

Mechanical characterization
a. Wear resistance of Cr nitride coatings
b. Study of the mechanical behaviour of aluminium foams
c. Study of the mechanical behaviour of low density steels

Archaeometallurgical characterization of bronze finds

Alloys for high temperature applications
a. TiAl intermetallics for high temperature applications
