Carlo Belli, professor at the University for Foreigners of Perugia (SSD 14/A2 - Political Science), teaches International Relations and Peace Building and Conflict Transformation. With a background in political science, he specialises in forecasting studies, analysis of decision-making processes, and conflict resolution and transformation. He has developed multidisciplinary study and research projects in the field of peace research, with the aim of contributing to the definition of the theoretical and practical aspects of peace-building processes. In this perspective, he has applied various theoretical methodologies to the study of political-economic development scenarios in countries in North Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and Eastern Europe, collaborating for a long time with the Research Institutes of the Italian Ministry of Defence (CASD and CEMISS), also working with the University of Pittsburgh (USA). He is the author and co-author of a dozen books on international politics.
