Research: Development of microbiological electrolytic cell technologies for hydrogen production

Costanza Arvigo was born in Piombino on 06/09/1998.
In December 2021 she received her bachelor's degree in Chemistry by defending a thesis titled “Ocean Acidification as a consequence of increasing CO2 in the atmosphere” under the supervision of Prof. Chiara Cavaliere.
In July 2024 she received a master's degree in Industrial Chemistry (Environment Resources Energy Safety curriculum) defending a thesis entitled “Study and optimization of a bioelectrochemical process under galvanostatic conditions for the removal of TCE from contaminated groundwater” under the supervision of Dr. Marco Zeppilli.
Since November 2024 she has been a PhD scholarship in “Chemical Processes for Industry and the Environment” at the National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development. The research involves the study of bioelectrochemical systems for the production of green hydrogen.
