Teoria e politiche monetarie e fiscali. Crescita e distribuzione.
Storia del pensiero economico.
La ricerca svolta nel corso degli anni si `e principalmente incentrata sull’analisi cri- tica della tradizione macroeconomica keynesiana in relazione a un’altra importante tradizione teorica di ispirazione classica e marxiana. In questo ambito particolare attenzione `e stata sempre prestata ai problemi connessi alla teoria monetaria.
Le attivit`a di ricerca hanno anche riguardato temi piu` specifici, quali i problemi connessi alle politiche fiscali e monetarie e il tema della della relazione fra crescita economica e distribuzione.
E` in corso di pubblicazione un libro, scritto in collaborazione con Bruna Ingrao, che analizza i modi in cui la teoria economica del XX secolo ha trattato, o non ha trattato, le complesse relazioni fra settore reale e settore finanziario delle eco- nomie di mercato (Banks and Finance in Modern Macroeconomics, Edward Elgar Publisher, 2019).
Altre attività
Dal 1989 al 2010, consulente economico dell’Istituto dell’Enciclopedia Ita- liana Treccani, dove ha partecipato alla stesura di vari aggiornamenti della Enciclopedia e ad altre opere.
Dal 1992 al 2017, membro dell’Editorial board della rivista Review of Social Economy.
