Research: An unknown Architecture. Capobianco, Aymonino, De Carlo, Viganò and the Italians of Team X
Chiara Arcidiacone (Naples, 1995) graduated in 2019 in Industrial Design at the Università degli Studi della Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli" with a thesis entitled "Ladybird. Flexible office unit" supervised by Prof. Francesca Muzzillo. After developing an interest in architectural design, in 2021 she earned a master's degree in Architecture (English degree program) at the same university with a thesis entitled "Post-Covid workspace. Environmental office design from the town to the people" with Prof. Nicola Pisacane and Prof. Francesca Muzzillo as co-tutor. In 2022 she took part in many academic activities such as the participation in the workshop "Summer School on Workplace Management" at the Politecnico di Milano. In the same year, she qualified as an Architect and won a 6-month research fellowship at the Università Vanvitelli with a research on "Digital survey and parametric modeling" (SSD ICAR / 17) funded by the Progetto PON DESIRE, supervised by Prof. Nicola Pisacane. Since October 2022, she has been working with Prof. Cherubino Gambardella and with the architecture studio gambardellarchitetti, engaged in both national and international design projects. Currently, since September 2024, she has been attending the PhD course in Architettura e Costruzione della Città (Architectural and Urban Composition curriculum) at Sapienza Università di Roma. Since December of the same year, she has been part of the editorial staff of the magazine "DROMOS. Libro periodico di Architettura" published in Italy by Altralinea Edizioni, Florence.
