Research:

I obtained my Master’s degree in European Studies at Sapienza University of Rome, specialising in Law and Economics, and graduated with the highest distinction (110/110 cum laude). During my master’s studies, I received systematic training in EU law, comparative private law, and law and economics methodologies, with a strong emphasis on cross-jurisdictional legal analysis. My academic interests and research orientation gradually developed towards comparative private law, with a particular focus on the private law conceptualisation of digital assets and data-related rights. My current research explores how traditional private law categories—such as property, obligations, possession, control, exclusivity, and remedies—can be adapted or reinterpreted in response to the challenges posed by digitalisation and data-driven economic activities. Methodologically, my research combines civil law traditions rooted in Roman law with common law functional approaches, aiming to analyse and compare different legal responses to digital assets and data across jurisdictions. I am particularly interested in the limits of classical proprietary models and the possible restructuring of private law remedies in the context of non-rivalrous and reproducible digital objects.
