RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
2019: Research training at the laboratory of ”Biochemestry”, Dept.
Biology, Tor Vergata University of Rome. Supervisor: Nadia D’Ambrosi.
Main activities: Study biochemical mechanisms undelrlying the
pathogenesis of amiotrophic lateral sclerosis in both in vivo and in
vitro models.
2021-2022: Research training at the laboratory of “Molecular
Immunology and Immunopathology”, Dept. Of Molecular Medicine,
Sapienza University of Rome. Supervisor: Prof. Rossella Paolini. Main
activities: Dissect phenotype and functions of mast cells in colon
cancer progression.
2022-Present: PhD Student in “Life Sciences”, Dept. of Molecular
Medicine, Sapienza University of Rome. Supervisor: Prof. Rossella
Paolini. Main activities: Dissecting the role of IgE within the tumor
microenvironment of colorectal cancer and study of human mast
cell phenotype and function during cancer progression.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
Basic cell culture technique. Routine maintenance of cell culture.
Mice: Isolation of mast cell progenitors from bone marrow and
primary mast cell cultures; Bone marrow and intestine harvesting and
cells isolation, chemically-induced cancer. Immunofluorescent
staining, Fluorescence Microscopy and FACS analysis;
immunohistochemistry (IHC); RNAScope Assay. Protein extraction
from cell line; Western Blot analysis form total cell lysates. RNA
extraction and quantization (using Nanodrop instrument); evaluation
of gene expression using quantitative real time PCR or PCR;
Electrophoresis of nucleic acids. Knowledge and understanding of
laboratory ethics, safety rules and regulations.
