Attualmente svolge un Dottorato di Ricerca in Infrastrutture e Trasporti presso la Sapienza Università di Roma e collabora ad attività di ricerca ad alcuni progetti di trasporti e sicurezza stradale in ambito internazionale nel Centro di Ricerca per il Trasporto e la Logistica (CTL). Ha partecipato a progetti di ricerca finanziati da varie organizzazioni, in Italia, Spagna, Colombia e Africa.

I suoi interessi di ricerca comprendono le seguenti tre aree correlate: sicurezza stradale, mobilità sostenibile, e pianificazione e politica dei trasporti, con particolare attenzione ai paesi in via di sviluppo. È coautore di 20 pubblicazioni scientifiche che includono: articoli di riviste peer-reviewed, articoli di conferenze e deliverables. È revisore attivo del Transportation Research Board (TRB) / Transportation Research Record (TRR) e Advances in Transportation Studies (ATS). Inoltre, è membro dell'International Network for Transport and Accessibility in Low Redcome Communities - Latin America Chapter (INTALInC-LAC).

Ha conseguito la laurea in Ingegneria Civile presso l'Università di Ibague nel 2010, un Diploma in governo locale e management pubblico presso la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana nel 2015. E possiede una laurea magistrale in Ingegneria dei Trasporti dell’UPV in Spagna, dove Si è laureato con lode nel 2018.
