Research: Identification and development of human NADPH oxidase (NOX) inhibitors with a role in cancer

Curriculum vitae of Beatrice Noce ABOUT ME Born in 1996, I am extremely motivated to constantly develop my skills and grow professionally.I am ambitious and results-oriented. My university experience in the laboratory of Prof. Antonello Mai and, also, my greatest hobby, the theater workshop, have made me methodical, quick in solving problems and very sociable. EDUCATION 01/11/2021- present SAPIENZA UNIVERSITÀ DI ROMA, PHD IN SCIENZE FARMACEUTICHE – TUTOR PROF. ANTONELLO MAI I practice the design and the syntesis of new potential inhibitors of epigenetic (or not) targets and, also, the characterization of organic compounds. I interpret results obtained by spectroscopic techniques (LC-MS,NMR) and I practice different processes of purification (TLC, Liquid Chromatography, double phase extraction). January 2020- January 2021 Experimental Thesis in PharmaceuticalChemistry (Group of Prof. Antonello Mai) Title of the thesis: "Progettazione, sintesi e profilobiochimico di nuovi potenziali inibitori della NADPHossidasi 5 (NOX-5)" October 2015 - January 2021 Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology 110/110 cum laude September 2010- July 2015 LICEO SCIENTIFICO G. SULPICIO (Veroli-Fr) High school leaving certificate in scientific studies 100/100 LANGUAGE SKILLS Mother tongue: Italian Other Languages: English; Spanish COMPUTER SKILLS Good Knowledge of data analysis and editing software (i.e Excel, Word, Power point). Experience in performing literature searches using chemistry databases (PubMed, SciFinder, Reaxys) and in applying the results to solve synthetic challenges in the lab.
