Research:
Ministry of Culture employee since 1999, first at the National Central Library of Florence, then at the Opificio delle Pietre Dure, where she is a Senior paper and photograph conservator, and Head of the training program in Archival and Library materials (PFP 5) of the School of Higher Education (MA) in Conservation. Since 2019, she has been an associate researcher of the Institute of applied physics "Nello Carrara" (IFAC) - National Research Council (CNR) in Sesto Fiorentino (Florence) for the Photographic Memory project.
She holds a BA in Cultural Heritage Sciences and a MA in Archival and Library Sciences, both achieved (cum laude) at the University of Florence. She is also a graduated and qualified conservator (Sectors 9, 10 – paper, photograph, film, digital materials). The most important training experiences in the field of paper and photograph conservation were achieved at the Trinity College Dublin (1994) George Eastman House in Rochester (NY) (2010) and through the courses of the Getty Conservation Institute in Budapest and Prague (2014, 2015), and ICCROM in Tokyo and Berlin (2012, 2013).
Professor of Photograph conservation and restoration at OPD and ICPAL, adjunct professor at the Specialisation School of historical and artistic heritage at the University of Florence (Identification and Preservation of Photographic Processes - L/ART-04), she has collaborated as a lecturer with numerous institutions, including the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz, the Academies of Fine Arts of Brera and Bologna, the University of Udine, the University of Eastern Finland.
