Titolo della tesi: Graphene-Based Wearable Sensors and Devices for Health Monitoring and Electrical Applications

The evolution of wearable sensing devices has become a crucial aspect of modern healthcare, particularly in the development of multi-functional textiles for non-invasive, continuous, and long-term biosignal monitoring. Current wearable sensors, while diverse, often fall short in providing the necessary comfort for continuous use in daily activities. Addressing this gap, this thesis introduces a novel class of graphene-based wearable sensors, seamlessly integrated into textile substrates, aimed at persistent monitoring of physiological parameters. These sensors are specifically designed to be wearable, biocompatible, cost-effective, stable, and comfortable, ensuring minimal discomfort in everyday life. At the heart of these sensors are graphene nanoplatelet (GNP) based polymer composites. Graphene and graphene-based nanofillers are selected for their exceptional electrical and mechanical properties. The fabrication methodology adopted is both efficient and scalable, tailored for mass production without compromising quality. These graphene-based sensors demonstrate a marked improvement over conventional sensors in terms of performance, sensitivity, and user comfort. Their design significantly diminishes motion artifacts and enhances the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), making them ideal for uninterrupted, long-term physiological monitoring.
