Dr. Antonino Sgalambro is a Lecturer in Operations Research at the Sheffield University Management School and Director of Research for the Operations Management and Decision Science division.
He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and holds a PhD in Operations Research from “Sapienza University of Rome”.
His research focuses mainly on Operations Research, Optimisation, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Decision Support Systems.
Antonino has been visiting researcher at the Interuniversity Research Centre on Enterprise Networks, Logistics and Transportation (CIRRELT) in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and, since 2012, a permanent researcher at the National Research Council of Italy.
He is currently Secretary of the EU-MATHS-IN Foundation, a European Service Network of Mathematics for Industry and Innovation.
He is the author of many scientific papers published on peer-reviewed international journals in Operations Research, Management Science and Discrete Optimization.
