Ali Abu Ghanimeh (Irbid, 1957) is a Full Professor of History of Architecture and Architectural Design at The University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan, where he currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at Sapienza University of Rome (1987) and obtained his Ph.D. there in 1997. President of the Mediterranean Architects Forum, he has served as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at The University of Jordan, after being Vice President of Al al-Bayt University from 2015 to 2017, Mafraq, Jordan. He has been a Visiting Lecturer at The University of Minia and Cairo, Egypt; in Algiers, Algeria; at The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Lebanon; in Msida, Malta; in Muscat, Oman; in Sanaa, Yemen; in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; in Crete and Athens, Greece; in Lisbon, Portugal; in Warsaw, Poland, and in many Italian universities. A member of national and international juries and numerous cultural organizations in the Arab World concerning the study of architectural history and design, he is the author of numerous publications where he reports his research conducted both locally and internationally.
