Agnieszka Adamowicz-Pośpiech graduated from the Institute of English Philology at the Jagiellonian University. She received her PhD from the University of Silesia (Joseph Conrad: Biographical Debates, Katowice 2003. She became the assistant professor on the basis of the monograph on Translation Studies (Retranslations, Katowice 2013). She was the head of the research group „Theatrum”. Since 2018 she has been the Vice President of the Joseph Conrad Society Poland (Jagiellonian University, Cracow). She is a member of such journal editorial boards as „Yearbook of Conrad Studies” (Poland) and „The Conradian” (UK). Her research interests encompass Translation Studies, British novels, drama, and visual culture (adaptation and comics studies).
