2016-2019: Phd research fellow in Christian and Medieval Archaeology in Sapienza University of Rome. Thesis Statement: The urbanization of the Black Sea Basin through the transition from the Roman world to its Early Middle Ages successors. Supervisor: C. Citter (in progress).

Work Experience

09/06/2016 – 09/09/2016: Work as an archaeologist on the excavation project DEI (Public Power Corporation) - PONTOKOMI in Kozani, under the supervision of the Ephorate of Antiquities in Kozani. Particular care was demonstrated in composing daily written documentation and weekly reports on the progress of the excavation work, as well as in and the recording and classification of excavated archaeological material in the Archaeological Museum of Aiani.


02/06/2015 – 15/12/2015: Work as a head archaeologist for the needs of the rescue excavation at the Ring Road Thermi - Polyguros, outside the city of Thessaloniki, under the supervision of the Ephorate of Antiquity in the region of Thessaloniki. (Written documentation of the report of new archaeological data that occurred - published with a registration number from the qualified Ephorate).

19/03/2014 – 03/11/2014: Work as a head archaeologist for the needs of the rescue excavation at the Ring Road Thermi - Polyguros, outside the city of Thessaloniki, under the supervision of the XVI Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities. 05/09/2011 - 12/03/2013: Work as an archaeologist for the needs of the excavation work at the stations of the Thessaloniki Metro under the supervision of the 9th Ephorate of Byzantine Antiquities. Particular care was demonstrated in composing daily written documentation and weekly reports on the progress of the excavation work, as well as in the photographic documentation of findings and in the further bibliographic approach.

2004, 2005, 2006: Participation in excavations in Palaiopoli of Andros under the supervision of the Emeritus Professor of Byzantine Archaeology, N. Gkioles (University of Athens), aiming to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge of excavation methods and management of excavated archaeological material.

2001, 2002, 2003: Participation in the excavations at Dion under the supervision of the Professor Emeritus of Classical Archaeology, D. Pantermalis (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki).
