Research: The evolution of the theory of evolution. The development of the "New extended synthesis" between reform and revolution.My research interests concern the historical and conceptual development of the theory of evolution. The goal is to reconstruct the history and structure of the theory using an updated Lakatosian perspective, which would allow us to understand darwinism as a research program in continuous transformation. The research is structured around the study of the most recent empirical and theoretical acquisitions in various sectors of evolutionary biology, focusing mainly on the debate concerning the new extended synthesis.
