Graduated in Foreign Languages and Literature at University of Salento (Lecce, Italy) in 2004, with a dissertation on “Bolesław Leśmian and the Russian Symbolism”, and he was awarded a Ph.D degree at the same university in 2010, with a dissertation on Dante’s critical reception in the 19th-Century Poland. During the academic years 2006-2010 he taught Polish language and literature at University of Salento, and in the academic years 2020-2021 taught Polish language at Aldo Moro University of Bari. Since 2011 he teaches Polish language and literature at the Department of Literary, Linguistics and Comparative Studies of the L’Orientale University of Naples, where since 2021 he is a researcher in Slavic studies. In the academic years 2017-2020, he was a research fellow in Slavic studies at the Department of Literary, Linguistics and Comparative Studies of the L’Orientale University of Naples with the research topic "Mythos and logos in the socialist literature in Russia and Poland". In the years 2012-2013, research fellow in Slavic studies at the Department of Humanities, University of Salento, with the research topic "The Slavic reception of Dante Alighieri and the Divine Comedy in the 19th century. A comparison of the translations considered from a philological-linguistic perspective as well as their cultural-historical background". In 2019, he obtained the National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor for the sector 10/M2 (L-LIN/21). He has been Visiting Professor at several Polish universities: 2018, University of Silesia in Katowice; 2019-2020, University of Białystok; 2020, University of Łódź; 2021, Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa. His research interests focus on 19th century and contemporary Polish literature, Italian-Polish and inter-Slavic cultural relations, ecdotics and poetic translation. The results of his research are published in Polish and Italian academic journals. He authored the monograph "Dantes maxime mirandus in minimis. Since 2019 he is a member of the editorial board of the academic journal “Pl.it / rassegna italiana di argomenti polacchi”, and of the journal “Orientalia Parthenopea”; since 2021 of the journals: “SFU – Studi Finno-Ugrici” (L'Orientale University of Naples) and “Fabrica Litterarum Polono-Italica” (University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland). Since 2013 he is a member of the scientific committee of the journal “Sztuka edycji. Studia tekstologiczne i edytorskie” (University of Toruń, Poland), and since 2015 member of the scientific committee of the editorial series “Colloquia Orientalia Bialostocensia” and of the journal "Bibliotekarz Podlaski. Ogólnopolskie Naukowe Pismo Bibliotekoznawcze i Bibliologiczne" (University of Białystok, Poland). Since 2019 he is a member of the scientific committee of the journals: “Poznańskie Studia Polonistyczne. Seria Literacka” (Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań), “Czytanie Literatury. Łódzkie Studia Literaturoznawcze”, “Acta Universitatis Lodziensis. Folia Litteraria Polonica” (University of Łódź), and “Paidia i Literatura” (University of Silesia in Katowice).
