Andrea Brilli is currently an Operations Research PhD student within the program ABRO at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. After earning his M.Sc. degree in October 2021, he decided to start a research activity in the field of Operations Research and applied mathematics. Andrea's research for his final master thesis, "An interior penalty method for black-box constrained optimization", was carried out under the supervision of Prof. Giampaolo Liuzzi and Prof. Stefano Lucidi. He belongs to the Department of Computer, Control and Management Engineering Antonio Ruberti (DIAG) at the Information Engineering, Informatics and Statistics Faculty of Sapienza University of Rome.
Andrea's research activities concern algorithms to solve derivative-free and non-smooth minimization problems.
