Research: Governance, Sustainability, and Performance in Public Procurement: An Empirical Analysis of the Healthcare Sector and the Case of Policlinico Umberto I

Alessia Sciarrone is a PhD candidate in Management, Banking and Commodity Sciences at Sapienza University of Rome. Her research activity is situated within the field of public management and procurement, with a focus on the integration of sustainability and digital innovation into public sector decision-making processes.
Her research interests include sustainable public procurement, the adoption and governance of artificial intelligence in public sector systems, and the design of performance management models oriented toward public value and ESG objectives. More broadly, her work also explores topics related to supply chain management, sustainable supply chain finance, digital platforms, data governance, and value creation processes in public and hybrid systems.
