Research: Phosphorus-based coatings for natural fibers: an eco-sustainable approach for biocomposite material manufacturing with enhanced durability and fire resistance.

11/2022 – Current
Ph.D. Student in Electrical, Materials, Raw Materials and Nanotechnology Engineering - Sapienza University of Rome - Department of Chemical Engineering Materials Environment.
Development of natural fiber reinforced composite materials (NFRCs) with improved durability and fire resistance. The project aims to identify and develop eco-sustainable treatments effective on a broad spectrum of natural fibers (both plant and mineral origin), able to improve the overall performance of the biocomposite material.

07/2022 - 10/2022
Research Fellowship at the Research Center in Science and Technology for the Conservation of Historic-Architectural Heritage (CISTeC) - Sapienza University of Rome.
Production of protective or consolidating agents as fire retardants against the risk of fire on architectural monuments (ESA Pomerium project activities).

10/2019 - 04/2022
Master's Degree in Molecular and Industrial Biotechnology - University of Perugia.
Thesis: Flame retardants from renewable sources for natural fiber reinforcing composite materials: two different development approaches.

03/2019-08/2019
Erasmus trainee at Institute of Molecular Biology and Tumor Research (IMT) - Philipps-University of Marburg.
Characterization of p14ARF protein levels and cellular responses to UV or gemcitabine treatment of pancreatic cancer cells.

10/2015 – 02/2019
Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology - University of Perugia
Thesis: Characterization of extracellular vesicle release induced by amiodarone.
