Research: Continual Learning in biomedical imaging

Alessandro Quarta graduated with honors in Biomedical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin in October 2018. He obtained a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Turin in December 2020.
At the end of his master's degree in engineering, he worked 1 year and 8 months as an ICT consultant at Healthy Reply.
In October 2020 he started a collaboration as Data Scientist at DLVSystem and in November of the same year, he started a one-year research grant at the University of Calabria on topics related to neuro-symbolic AI.
In October 2021, he started his National Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence at the Sapienza University of Rome, following his studies at the University of Calabria, under the supervision of Prof. Nicola Leone and Prof. Francesco Calimeri.
In order to follow part of his research concerning the application of Continual Learning techniques in biomedical images, he started a collaboration with the Istituto Tumori di Milano, at which he also carried out research on issues related to radiomic analysis.
