SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY
The sectors of the research activities carried out concern and have concerned:
Advanced systems for conversion, use and storage of energy at high and low temperature, electrolyzers, electrochlorators. experimental analysis and optimization of photovoltaic systems for the production of hydrogen by electrolysis, hydrogen storage in hydrides: energy analysis of commercial systems and materials for thermochemical storage of hydrogen.
Other research activities concerned the energetic study of electrochemical systems for different applications: study and characterization of lithium-ion batteries for automotive applications for the determination of the parameters essential for the proper functioning of BMS systems, electrode construction and testing for electrochemical production of hydrogen by electrolysis, study of three-dimensional RVC electrodes for the treatment of wastewater and the possible recovery of heavy metals, energy analysis, optimization and engineering of purification systems via sodium hypochlorite, powered by photovoltaic source with hydrogen recovery, photoelectrochemical production of hydrogen.
