Currently his main research is aimed at the characterization of self-assembled plasmonic metasurfaces. In particular, the characterization of the chiral properties and morphological properties of metallic nanostructures using the visible and NIR light spectrum and the second optical harmonic generation signal.
He is co-author of over 100 technical and scientific publications published in international physics-oriented journals.
His research interest concerns the topics of:
Second harmonic generation in nanoplasmonic materials;
Second harmonic generation in metal-dielectric nanostructures;
Second harmonic generation in hybrid organic metal-dielectric nanostructures;
Optical delay line and nonlinear interaction in femtosecond and picosecond regimes;
Measurement and characterization of the electro-optical properties of organic molecules;
Photorefractive solitons.
He has been invited to several international conferences and has presented over 35 papers in Europe and the United States.
Member of the Presidential Council of the Italian Society for Optics and Photonics SIOF.
