Alberta Fabbricotti is Associate Professor of International Law at the Department of Legal and Economic Studies, Faculty of Law, La Sapienza University of Rome. She teaches international law and the law of the European Union. She is a member of the faculty of the doctoral programme in Public, Comparative and International Law, curriculum in International Order and Human Rights. Alberta has published three monographs and numerous articles and essays in the fields of international economic law, international protection of human and peoples' rights, refugee law and protection of the cultural heritage of humanity. Her most recent publication is the Routledge typesetting of Intentional Destruction of Cultural Heritage and the Law: A Research Companion (2024). She has directed and still directs several research groups funded by La Sapienza University. She also works as an expert reviewer for the European Commission, the National Agency for the Evaluation of the University System and Research (ANVUR), the Polish National Science Centre (NCN) for the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) for the evaluation of research projects and results.
