Viviana Molaschi, holding the national scientific qualification to teach as a Full Professor of Administrative Law in Italian Universities, is an associate professor of Administrative Law at the Polytechnic University of Turin, where she teaches Sustainable Development Law, Institutional System for Territorial Governance and Administrative Law for Architecture.

She has written about the democratization of public decisions concerning scientifically and technically complex issues and about the public debate on major works. She is the author of the monograph “Le arene deliberative. Contributo allo studio delle nuove forme di partecipazione nei processi di decisione pubblica”, Naples: Editoriale Scientifica, 2018.

In 2015, she was a Fulbright Research Scholar at the School of Law and the Center for Law, Energy and the Environment at the University of California-Berkeley, where she developed a research project entitled "Deliberative democracy: engaging citizens in environmental decision making."

Her research activity on environmental issues is also devoted to the relationship between economic models (sharing economy, circolar economy, etc.) and environmental protection from the perspective of sustainable development. In this regard, the following writings are worth mentioning: L’economia circolare nel Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza, in AMBIENTEDIRITTO.IT, 1/2022, pp. 1-13; Economia collaborativa e beni comuni: analogie, differenze e intersezioni nella prospettiva di uno sviluppo urbano sostenibile, in Dir. economia, 2020, pp. 345-372.

She is also a member of the Perugia Research Unit, coordinated by Prof. Annalisa Giusti, of the Research Project of National Relevance 2022 “Reloading city: a new systemic approach to urban and territorial regeneration”.

She is also a scholar of health law and social services law, in the context of which she wrote the volume “I rapporti di prestazione nei servizi sociali. Livelli essenziali delle prestazioni e situazioni giuridiche soggettive”, Turin: Giappichelli, 2008. More recent research interests in the health law field embrace the topic of digital health.
