Roberto Ricciuti is Associate professor of Economic policy at the University of Verona and works on several issues in political economy (mainly institutions, democracy and conflict). He is a member of the Academic Senate and the Deputy Director of the PhD in Economics and Finance at the University of Verona, a fellow of CESifo. He received a PhD in Economics from the University of Siena and an MSc in Economics from the University of Exeter. He taught at Royal Holloway University of London and at the University of Florence, was a Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute, a Visiting Fellow at Clare Hall College (University of Cambridge), and a Visiting Professorial Fellow at the Global Development Institute (University of Manchester). Currently, he is the local coordinator of the national research project “The economics of beliefs, culture and institutions”. Roberto received the NEPS Medal for the best paper in peace economics published in 2017.
