Raffaella Nigro is Full Professor of International Law at the Department of Law, Economics and Sociology (Dipartimento di Giurisprudenza, Economia e Sociologia, DIGES) of the University Magna Græcia of Catanzaro. She was Postdoctoral Researcher (Ricercatore) at the Universities of Salerno (2012) and Perugia (2013-2016) and Visiting Researcher/Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law (2007, 2018) and the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law (2008-2009). Her current research interests and publications centre around human rights, functional immunity, international terrorism and international criminal justice. She has authored, among other publications, two monographs: La definizione di terrorismo nel diritto internazionale (Editoriale Scientifica, 2013) and Le immunità giurisdizionali dello Stato e dei suoi organi e l’evoluzione della sovranità nel diritto internazionale (Wolters Kluwer/Cedam, 2018).
