Architect and Associate Professor of Architectural and Urban Composition (SSD ICAR/14), Department of Civil, Environmental, Architectural Engineering and Mathematics (DICATAM), University of Brescia (UniBS). Faculty member of the PhD Program in Civil and Environmental Engineering, International Cooperation, and Mathematics (DICACIM). Site Representative for the University of Brescia in the National Scientific Society of Professors of Architectural Design - ICAR 14-15-16. Member of the scientific committee of the international series “Confini/Boundaries” and director of the series “Sustainable Architecture. Aesthetics, resources, reuse,” Tab edizioni. Member of BrAL – Brixia Accessibility Lab, University of Brescia. Member of the Steering Committee of the University Center for Research and Services for Peace at the University of Brescia (U4P), within the RUniPace network. Scientific coordinator for international agreements between the University of Brescia and Curtin University Australia and The University of Jordan. Scientific coordinator of research contracts with public and private entities, Summer and Winter Schools, and international activities and workshops. She has received awards and mentions following participation in national and international architectural and urban design competitions. Her research activities mainly focus on the relationship between Architecture and Place, aiming to continue the tradition of architectural culture that implies a way of designing rigorously connected to the specificities of the contexts where new architecture or the transformation of existing buildings takes place, whether in urban or natural environments. Attention to the history of a place is considered essential to create the necessary process of continuity between collective memory and contemporary innovation.
