Marco Impagliazzo (Rome 1962), is full professor of Contemporary History at the University of Roma Tre in the Department of Educational Sciences since April 2018, after having taught at the University for Foreigners of Perugia from 2001 to 2018. In his activity his research initially dealt with the history of Algeria in the twentieth century, He then broadened his interests to the entire Mediterranean area, with particular reference to non-European countries and the issues of coexistence between different nationalities, cultures and religions. In his research, Impagliazzo also dealt with the religious history of Rome and Italy, with some publications that investigate the social aspects of the religious factor. He subsequently broadened his interests by dealing with the history of the Church in the contemporary world. Impagliazzo has also dealt with historical issues linked to the presence of ethnic or religious minorities in Italy. He is currently engaged in extensive research on migratory phenomena in contemporary times.
