ATTILIO GORASSINI was born in Reggio Calabria 9th August, 1957. He was put on the researcher roll of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Messina, then Associate Professor (Scientific Sector N01X) in the Faculty of Law at the University of Reggio Calabria (university town of Catanzaro). After being retained in roll, he took successfully part in the procedure of comparative assessment for professorship (in the Scientific Sector N01X) in the Law Faculty of Catanzaro University in 2000. He was a member of the Faculty of the Ph.D. Course entitled “I problemi civilistici della persona” (tr. Civil Law Issues of the Person), held by the Law Faculty of Salerno University. He has been a member of the Faculty of the Civil Law Ph.D. Course entitled “Nuova sistematica del diritto civile, diritto privato comunitario e teoria dell'interpretazione" (tr. Renewed Systematics of Civil Law, EC Private Law and Theory of Interpretation) set up by the Law Faculty of Catanzaro University. He was until 2004 Professor of Private Law at the Law Faculty of Catanzaro University; he was Deputy Professor of Introductions to Legal Sciences, Legal Sciences Methodology, European Private Law and Tort Law, in the same University. He taught Private Law in the Catanzaro Division of the Economics Faculty of Cosenza University, and Private Law in Reggio Calabria Division of the Law Faculty of Catanzaro University. He was also Deputy Professor of Private Law in the Law Faculty of Pisa University in the academic years 1998/99 and 1999/00. He was the Director of the Department of Legal Science and History in the University of Catanzaro, and Deputy Professor of Private Law at the Law Faculty of the University of Reggio Calabria. Since 2001 to 2004 he was the Head of the Department of Legal Science and History at Catanzaro Magna Graecia University and Deputy Professor of Institutions of Private Law II at Law Faculty of Reggio Calabria University. Since 1st , June 2004 he moved to the Law Faculty of Reggio Calabria University, where he taught Private Law and Bio-Law. He was the Head of the Degree Course in Legal Sciences. He was the Director of the Master’s Degree (II Level) in Sport Law. Since 15th, October 2005 he was the Head of the Law Faculty at Reggio Calabria University and then Director of the Dipartiment Law and Economics at Reggio Calabria University. Actually he is professor of Institutions of Private Law I and Civil Law.
