Obiettivi formativi del dottorato
Educational goals and objectives

descrizione:Il Dottorato in Ingegneria dell'Architettura e dell'Urbanistica si pone l’obiettivo di formare studiosi capaci di operare nel campo dell'architettura e dell'urbanistica con una visione multidisciplinare ed interdisciplinare dei problemi del settore e con la padronanza di metodologie e tecniche appropriate.
Oggi, infatti, nel panorama nazionale è fortemente avvertita l’esigenza di ricercatori specialisti, ma non settoriali, capaci di interagire con le diverse componenti del mondo produttivo, amministrativo e culturale per contribuire, mediante l’acquisita formazione alla multidisciplinarità, al governo della complessità sia della singola opera architettonica sia del contesto urbano nel suo complesso. Pertanto il dottorato si pone un duplice obiettivo:
• attraverso il curriculum di Ingegneria Edile-Architettura: fornire ai dottorandi, al termine del percorso formativo, capacità di ricerca impiegabili da Enti, Istituzioni e strutture pubbliche o private nel campo della progettazione, della costruzione e della gestione (fino all’esaurimento del ciclo di vita ed al riciclo e/o smaltimento) dell’organismo architettonico, degli elementi costruttivi e dei materiali sia nell’ambito della nuova edificazione che nel recupero e ristrutturazione del patrimonio edilizio, per acquisire capacità di analisi e di interpretazione della complessità dei fenomeni, padronanza metodologica delle modalità di integrazione della proprie competenze con le specificità disciplinari coinvolte nel processo edilizio, conoscenza tecnica per la risoluzione dei problemi connessi con le trasformazioni dell’ambiente costruito.
• attraverso il curriculum di Tecnica Urbanistica: preparare dottori di ricerca qualificati nell’organizzazione, pianificazione, progettazione delle città e dei territori e nella conoscenza degli effetti prodotti sull’ambiente dai processi di antropizzazione della natura, attraverso la ricerca e l’elaborazione di nuovi strumenti e pratiche sociali per uno sviluppo della città e del territorio ecologicamente sostenibile.
Per finalità specifiche, il Dottorato opererà una sinergia formativa con i settori scientifici disciplinari della fisica tecnica, della tecnologia dei materiali, della storia dell’architettura, delle scienze sociali ed economiche.
PhD:ENGINEERING-BASED ARCHITECTURE AND URBAN PLANNING
description:The PhD program in “Engineering-based Architecture and Urban Planning” is aimed to train researchers through a high educational level to operate in the field of architecture and/or town planning by using a multidisciplinary and crossdisciplinary approach and appropriate methodologies and technologies.
Indeed, today, in the national scenario, a strong demand is felt for specialized, but not sectoral, researchers capable of interacting with the various components of the productive, administrative and cultural world in order to contribute, through their multidisciplinary training, to govern the complexity of both architectural work and urban design as a whole. In conclusion, the PhD program has two aims pursued by the two following curricula:
• Engineering-based Architecture curriculum:
to endow doctoral students, at the end of the training process, with research capacity that can be employed by Institutions and public or private organizations in the fields of design, building and management (until the end of the life cycle and ultimate recycling and/or disposal) of the architectural organism, the building elements and materials, both in constructing new buildings and in the rehabilitation and restructuring of existing buildings.
• Urban Planning curriculum:
to introduce graduate students to the issues related to organizing and planning of cities and territories and to the environmental impact of human pressure on nature, investigating new social tools and practices for a sustainable development of the city and the land.
As regards specific objectives, the PhD-program will set up a training synergism with the scientific sectors involved in technical physics, materials technology, the history of architecture, the social and economics sciences.
